BOYA DUNN: Dance Hall Artist
For years Dancehall has been dominated a Jamacian voices and a relatively tough business for a Bahamian to enter. To be a Bahamian contender you must have a tight package; lyrics, style, flair and talent. Boya fits the bill! Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Boya attended Government High School where he was head boy 95-96. Blessed with the talent to perform, he was always on stage. After winning countless talent shows, he followed up joining a group with Bassi, and Blessed called Destiny. They opened shows all about the Nassau and was in full demand. Eventually because of his mothers strong desire for him to be a scholar, Boya focused more on education and left the music scene for a while.Deon Da-Butcher inspired him to be a smart artist and not to give up on his dream. This was where the studio recording started.
This year has been a great one for Boya and his partner Wanlov. They are in the studio finishing up a summer 2004 album and it`s gonna be LIVE!!! Apart from performing at many concert venues Boya & Wanlov always reach out for the give back to the people. "TEXAS is loving us,"
